Deze Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Rosso Tralcetto heeft een robijnrode kleur in het glas en aroma’s van zwart fruit en kruiden. Smaken doen denken aan zwarte kersen, bramen, toast en eucalyptus. Het volle fruitkarakter en de toegankelijke tannines maken deze wijn geschikt bij pasta’s, gegrild vlees en kaas.
In een klein dorp in de Abruzzen bevindt zich het wijnhuis Zaccagnini dat gebouwd is in 1978 door familie Zaccagnini. Op het moment bezitten ze 300 hectare wijngaarden die gedurende het hele jaar nauwkeurig worden onderhouden. De Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Tralcetto van Cantina Zaccagnini wordt gemaakt van druiven afkomstig van westelijk georiënteerde wijngaarden in de buurt van Bolognano. De zachte zonuren op het einde van de dag zorgen voor een geleidelijke rijping waardoor de druiven hun zuren behouden. De wijn rijpt 4 maanden in Sloveense eikenhouten vaten.
