Pompoenpitolie heeft een nootachtige smaak. De olie heeft een groene kleur en wordt net als veel andere oliën koud geperst waardoor de voedingswaarden behouden blijven. Pompoenpitolie is gezond, zit vol vitaminen, mineralen en is rijk aan vitamine E (antioxidant). Pompoenpitolie dient u bij voorkeur koud te gebruiken en is heerlijk door salades, soep, yoghurt en als ingrediënt voor een dressing. Maar ook heerlijk over warme groente, aardappelen en vis.
