Omdat de eigenaren van Chateau Peneau ook altijd destilleerders waren, deden ze het wijn maken er vaak als liefhebberij bij. Toen Emilie Douence met zoon Dimitri trouwde, pakte zij met veel energie het wijn maken op. De kwaliteit ging met sprongen vooruit en regionaal wordt prijs na prijs gewonnen. Toch blijven de wijnen zeer betaalbaar. Ook deze instapwijn van het domein is van oude wijnranken gemaakt en heeft 12 maanden op houten vaten gelegen. Een volle rijke typische Bordeaux wijn, met flinke tannines, die nog best een paar jaar kan ouderen.
Deze wijn is gemaakt van de druiven Merlot (60%), Cabernet Sauvignon (30%) en Malbec (10%).
