De geur is zowel uniek als zeer suggestief voor smaken die we goed kennen: amandel, karamel, gesneden hooi, vanille...
Zeer veelzijdig, dit kleine wonder kan zowel rauw als gemacereerd worden gebruikt, en is geschikt voor zoete gerechten (vla, crèmes, cakes, enz.) maar ook hartig (salades, wit vlees, groenten, enz.)
Hoe te gebruiken? Door het eenvoudig in kleine schaafsel te raspen of door een molen te halen.
