Description
Voerman Vieux is een Nederlandse spiced brandy, gedistilleerd van druiven en vervolgens verrijkt met kruiden. Het distillaat heeft een rijpingsperiode van 1 jaar op eikenhouten vaten ondergaan.
Deze onconventionele spirit onthult heerlijke smaaktonen van de brandy, aangevuld met hints van vijgen, pomerans en kardemom. De zachte afdronk kenmerkt zich door vanille, gember en eikenhout.
In 2020 bundelden drankenkenner en journalist Ingmar Voerman zijn krachten met ondernemer Jos Zonneveld om de vrijwel vergeten sterkedrank Vieux nieuw leven in te blazen. Dit initiatief namen zij bij een van de oudste familiedistilleerderijen in Schiedam. Het doel was om de ultieme vieux te creëren en tegelijkertijd een spiced brandy te introduceren.
