Airplant The Melanocrater is a fun little plant that's definitely a must-have for every air plant enthusiast! This variety flaunts several colors all at once, being black at its base and having green to deep red leaves. It's also one of the few air plants that;s a little more tolerant when it comes to light. Brighter light will cause the leaves to turn red.

AIR PLANT CAREAlmost all air plants prefer bright, indirect light. Full sun will cause browning of the leaf tips. Air plants absorb water through the hairs on their leaves (trichromes). Spray them at least twice a week with water. When indoor humidity is very low, you can also soak your plants for a few hours. Always make sure the plant has fully dried before returning it to its home to avoid leaf rot.
