Je krijgt in het spel ook te maken met tegenslagen, zoals plagen en barbaren. Het is jouw doel om er als sterkste uit te komen! Deze uitbreiding op Dominion is alweer de zevende. Hij geeft het spel een totaal andere beleving met 500 nieuwe kaarten zoals 35 Koninkrijk kaarten en pest kaarten die je aan andere spelers kunt geven. Dominion: De Donkere Middeleeuwen is uitsluitend in combinatie met Dominion te spelen.
