De wijngaarden van El Portillo beslaan 68 hectare, en liggen in een rotsachtige omgeving, aan de voet van het Andesgebergte, Argentinië, op ± 1200 meter hoogte. De bodem bestaat uit grof gesteente, wat een perfecte waterdrainering geeft. De gemiddelde leeftijd van de wijnstokken is 30 jaar.

Volle, stevige en fruitige rode wijn met aroma’s van zwart fruit en pruimen. Heerlijke zachte structuur. Een combinatie van moderne en traditionele technieken De rijping geschiedt deels op roestvrij stalen tanks en deels op nieuwe eiken vaten, bij een constante temperatuur van 12?C. Perfect bij rood (gegrild) vlees, belegen kazen en gevogelte. Nu op dronk.
