Lavas is ook wel bekend als de ‘maggiplant’. Dit kruid is meerjarig en heeft een voorkeur voor een vochtige plek. Lavas kan enige schaduw goed verdragen. Wanneer je Lavas teelt voor de kruidige bladeren dan is de plant niet geschikt als bijenplant. Als je Lavas laat groeien zonder te oogsten dan schieten er bloemen in de plant die bijen en vlinders heel aantrekkelijk vinden.
Teelt in vollegrond:
- Rechtstreeks zaaien: maart - juni.
- Oogsten: juli - september.
