Description
Otenba gin is in 2020 uitgebracht door distillateur Monique ten Kortenaar, bekend van Wynand Fockink en Bols. Otenba gin. OTENBA [OH-TEN-BÁH] betekent "rebelse vrouw" in het Japans.
Deze Amsterdamse spirit heeft dus de frisheid van gin, maar ook de diepte van jenever, door de toegevoegde moutwijn. Deze samensmelting is zelfs helemaal niet zo gek. Toen de Britten immers voor het eerst de Nederlandse Jenever proefden, waren ze zo onder de indruk dat ze hun eigen versie ervan maakten. En dat was gin.
Deze aroma's wordt bovendien gecombineerd met Aziatische tonen zoals Pandan blad, citroengras, Senscha thee en Sansho peper.
Otenba gin/ jenever is ideaal voor de avontuurlijke Gin & Tonic drinker en is perfect te combineren met de Yuzu Tokyo Tonic van Artisan.
