De basiscuvée van Philipp Kuhn is samengesteld uit zes verschillende nationale en internationale druivenrassen die niet herkend zouden moeten blijven, "INCOGNITO". Niet omdat het inferieure druivensoorten zijn, maar omdat de cuvée een handelsgeheim moet blijven. Maar ook voor de intrede in de rode wijnen van Philipp Kuhn geldt: lage opbrengsten, een handmatige druivenoogst, traditionele pureegisting en een lange rijpingsperiode in barriques zorgen voor een indrukwekkende kwaliteit. De 30% Merlot (zoveel valt te verklappen) geeft de wijn extra kracht zonder zijn typische fluweelzachte karakter te verliezen.
De INCOGNITO is een middelzware rode wijn met heerlijke fruitaccenten, niet zo zwaar in alcohol, maar complex van smaak. Zoals al onze rode wijnen is deze cuvée constant droog, maar met een zachte tanninestructuur.
