Gelegen in Haro, Rioja Alta, het hart van de DOC Rioja. De bodem is kalk- en leemhoudend. Ramón Bilbao heeft wijnbezittingen op de beste plekken van de Rioja streek.
De wijngaarden liggen daar, waar de warme wind uit de droge Sierra de Cantabria tegen de koelere mediterrane wind aanbotst. De druiven worden perfect rijp en krijgen 's nachts voldoende koeling om frisheid in de wijn te krijgen. De rivier de Ebro is de belangrijkste vochtvoorziening voor het wijngebied.
90% Tempranillo, 5% Mazuelo, 5% Graciano.

Moderne vinificatie, met lagering op Amerikaanse eiken vaten gedurende 20 maanden en 30 maanden op fles.
Dieprode intense kleur. Subtiele fruitaroma's van bramen, zwarte pruimen en specerijen. Gebalanceerde hint van hout en vanille. Volle smaak met een goede balans tussen zuren en intensiteit. Subtiele, elegante wijn met veel complexiteit.
Combineer deze wijn met gegrild of gebraden rood vlees, wild en overjarige Hollandse kazen. Dit is een wijn die zich uitstekend leent om te bewaren. Hoe groter de flesinhoud hoe langzamer en mooier de wijn ontwikkeld als hij ouder wordt.
