Pouilly-Fumé dankt zijn naam aan Pouilly-sur-Loire, het hart van de AOC, en 'Fumé', letterlijk 'gerookt', refererend aan de lokale naam van de sauvignon blanc, 'blanc fumé'. De term fumé slaat hier op de asgrijze kleur van de bladeren van de sauvigon blanc. De Pouilly-Fumé wijnen zijn over het algemeen droog, fris en evenwichtig, floraal en fruitig, met een opvallende mineraliteit waarin 'silex' (vuursteen) vaak te herkennen is. Het kleine domein van Sébastien Treuillet in Tracy-sur-Loire staat bekend om de zuiverheid en verfijning van zijn wijnen. Het is dan ook een breed inzetbare wijn. Niettemin kunnen wij hem sterk aanbevelen bij licht gerookte vissoorten of bij verse tot halfrijpe geitenkaas (chavignol, selles-sur-cher).smaakimpressie
Stuivend aromatisch maar niet overdreven, fris en droog, met aroma’s van witte bloemen, frisse vruchten en groene kruiden, ondersteund door een verfijnde mineraliteit (vuursteen).vinificatie
Alles wordt hier in het werk gesteld om de zuiverheid van het fruit en het terroir te behouden. Er worden geen trucjes gebruikt om explosieve aroma’s te forceren, maar men heeft juist voor elegantie en finesse gekozen. ‹›Related Products
