Description
La Gritona Reposado Tequila is een bijzondere reposado uit het hart van Jalisco, Mexico. Deze tequila wordt uitsluitend gemaakt van 100% blauwe agave, geoogst in de hooglanden van Valle de Guadalupe. De agaves worden langzaam gekookt in traditionele stenen ovens en daarna natuurlijk gefermenteerd, wat zorgt voor een zachte en zuivere smaak.
Wat La Gritona uniek maakt, is dat de tequila na distillatie slechts 8 maanden rijpt in gebruikte Amerikaanse whiskeyvaten. Hierdoor behoudt hij zijn frisheid, met subtiele tonen van eikenhout zonder overheersende invloeden van het vat. De productie wordt geleid door een vrouwelijk team onder leiding van Melly Barajas, een van de weinige vrouwelijke master distillers in Mexico.
La Gritona wordt gebotteld in hergebruikte glazen flessen die lokaal met de hand worden geblazen. Geen toevoegingen, geen kunstmatige kleurstoffen – alleen pure reposado met karakter.
