De Valpolicella wordt ook wel de Beaujolais van Italië genoemd. De wijn heeft beperkt tannines en is daarom licht van karakter. Voor de Amarone worden de allerbeste druiven gebruikt. Deze druiven worden na de pluk 4-5 maanden gedroogd en daarna pas geperst. Door de droging is de most zeer geconcentreerd. Na de gisting rijpt de wijn nog meer dan 2 jaar op eiken vaten. Doordat tijdens het proces wel alle suikers worden gefermenteerd, is de wijn niet zoet, maar wel zeer intens van smaak. De Punta 470 heeft de juiste frisheid en zuren om hem mooi drinkbaar en verteerbaar te houden. Hij is lekker fris, met zoete kersen en pruimen; kruidig en intens, met lengte en mooie tannines.
Deze wijn is gemaakt van de druiven Corvina, Corvinone en Rondinella.
