Description
De Pusser’s British Navy Gunpowder Proof Rum is een traditionele Royal Navy stijl rum blend, die officieel voor het laatst gebruikt werd in 1970. Deze Engelse rum wordt gebotteld op de originele alcohol sterkte van 54,5%.
Het is een erg volle rum met behoorlijk wat warmere kruiden zoals kaneel, nootmuskaat en gember, maar ook honing en vanille. De afdronk is erg lang en verrassend soepel, kijkende naar het hoge alcohol percentage.
Pusser's Rum is een bedrijf op de Britse Maagdeneilanden dat de originele Royal Navy-rum bottelt, mengt en distribueert.
Vroeger kregen de matrozen van de Engelse marine elke dag een goede dosis rum, totdat dit in 1970 afgeschaft werd door de Admiraliteit. In 1979 wilde Charles Tobias deze traditie in stand houden en met toestemming van de Admiraliteit kreeg hij het originele recept. Hierdoor is Pusser’s Rum één van de meest historische en traditionele rums die vandaag de dag nog steeds verkrijgbaar is. De rijke smaak van Pusser's Rum is helemaal natuurlijk, er worden geen kunstmatige smaak- of kleurstoffen toegevoegd.
