Description
Rum Spirited Union XO Colombia is een rum uit Zuid-Amerika, waarin de koffiecultuur van Colombia en de traditie van rumrijping samenkomen. De basis is een 3 jaar gerijpte rum uit suikerrietmelasse, die na aankomst in Amsterdam nog eens 2 jaar wordt gerijpt in ex-bourbonvaten die speciaal zijn behandeld met Colombiaanse koffiebonen. Dit resulteert in een complexe, aromatische rum waarin bitters en zoetheid fraai in balans zijn.
De geur opent met tonen van versgemalen koffie, cacao en gedroogd fruit. In de mond proef je donkere chocolade, geroosterde koffie, karamel en een vleugje leer. De structuur is rond en rijk, zonder overheersing van de koffie. De afdronk is lang, met tonen van espresso en vanille.
Deze XO Colombia is een uitstekende sipping rum voor liefhebbers van rijke, donkere smaken. Combineer hem met een stukje pure chocolade of verwerk hem in een Espresso Rumtini voor een verrassend alternatief op de klassieke cocktail.
